CRSSD festival San Diego: What to Expect

CRSSD festival was one of the first festivals I attended after moving to San Diego, so I had no idea what to expect. CRSSD is held right on the water with beautiful boats docked, so every time you glance away from the stage, you see absolute beauty. I highly recommend to get there before sunset, because the San Diego sunset at the waterfront park is magnificent.

Besides the SoCal views, the music and stages are placed perfectly. There are three stages organized in how I would describe a line formation, so little to no sound bleed! I will add, as nightfall arrives, and the bigger named dj’s come on, it gets so ridiculously packed that I physically could not move. If you don’t want to get stuck in the crowd, stay towards the back when the bigger names are about to start.

Waterfront park does have a water play area like when you were a kid! so if you wanna play in the water, bring a bathing suit. I will warn you, the temperatures do drop quite a bit at night so if you decide to play in the water, probably bring extra clothes, or just put your feet in!

On the fashion trends at CRSSD, it is not the typical rave attire seen at EDC or ULTRA. Many people were wearing cargo pants, tight tops, and Doc Martins. When I went, I wore torn up boyfriend jeans, a white tube top, combat boots, and a pashmina for when it got colder at night.

CRSSD festival is such a blast, and so many great people attended. Plan accordingly to weather, and enjoy yourself!

All the love~ Leela
